So I am not sure how many of you have noticed so far, but the environment is a hot topic for me!
I really hope to educate children about the environment utilizing art as the medium.
Hey! sooo Obama won!
I personally feel that he seems to be a good guy. Very determined to fix the wrong that is in the world. Unfortunately that is a big, HUGE task for one person, we all must do our part to improve this nation. I am not talking about going to work and doing your civic duty. I mean by making another life better, making your children smile, teaching them that all animals and people have a right to a fufillling life. Animals are scientifially proven to be sentient beings, more capable of feelings and thoughts then we ever could have imagined. We still don't know to what scale they feel, we just know they do! They deserve our respect, as all creatures should be.
Which causes me to think of the case in Queensland, AU. Two men using garden shears tortured a ten month old fox terrier named Peanut. They stole the dog from a family, and are not claiming insantity. They tortured and mutilated the dog over a great deal of time before killing the poor puppy, it was only a baby. They video taped their crime!
" Police who saw video phone footage of the incident said they were sickened by the mutilation, while the RSPCA described it as the worst case of animal cruelty ever. "

I cannot comprehend how anyone could do such a thing! It makes me sick! Not that long ago on the Gold Coast of Australia a child under the age of ten climbed over the fence of a small zoo where he brutally killed several of their animals, and threw the bodies to the salt water croc "Terry". What is going on here people? These crimes are not normal!

Back to the President, after venting a little and I mean only a little. Thinking about it in depth simply makes me to upset!
I certainly hope that our next president will be more aware of our planets situation, and instead of tearing down what we have tried to mend do some more mending of his own. I feel like Bush on his way out is trying to drag the environment and all that has been improved to protect it on his way out. Palin's complete and utter disregard for animal life and the environment scares the "hell" out of me. If McCain had won, I doubt he would have done much to improve the environment. I however do not think he would deliberately spit in the planets face in the way Palin does. I certainly hope Obama will be that man, he partially supports who I fondly call the "crazy oil tycoon's" plan for wind energy. Wind energy in my opinion is a great way to go! I wouldn't even mind the wind machines off the coast of Ocean City, MD because it also provides a man made reef for oysters and wildlife to make a home.
We will soon find out what kind of president we have elected, and if he will be as determined to accomplish his promises as he was in his campaign. I admire his strength, and complete disregard to lower himself to mud slinging and personal attacks and hate mongering that others have lowered them selves to..
Until next time... Goodnight!
Hey folks!
